Summery: Steps to start a successful advertising campaign

You have decided to start an internet business. You have joined some good affiliate programs and you feel you can make a little money with them to start off. Everything looks rosy until... You realize that you have no idea how to find buyers for these good products/services.

This is a dilemma that many find themselves in, when they first start a business. They join programs and have no idea how to market them. Sure the owners of the programs have some “tools” some sharp little classified ads and even a couple of solos, but very few programs actually explain in basic terms how to market the product, when you are just starting out. Here are the basic steps for starting a solid advertising campaign that will bring good results.

Steps:

Choose your best program, just one and work out a marketing strategy for 3 months, yes you read it right, just one for 3 months, always give a program time to make you money. You often have to advertise more than once to get results. In 3 months you will be able to assess whether the program is worthwhile or should be discarded.

 

Decide who will be interested in buying/hiring your product/service. (market analysis, to find people who need your product/service) If you are unsure of this you can write to the support or owner of the program. If it is a good program they will be happy to tell you what sort of people are interested in the products.

 

Start a Targeted Advertising Campaign, the key to success in an advertising campaign is to direct your marketing to the right people. Direct your marketing at and for these people only, advertising to a general public will seriously jeopardize your ad campaign.

 

 

Where to advertise? Ezines/Newsletters, in your market, are the best way to begin. Find them by looking up the keyword for your market, for example “Marketing Ezines”

 

Start with Classified Ads for testing, and make a note of the ezines that have done well, then send Solos out to these. Remember to always test and record your findings.

 

Advertise on a regular basis every 1-2 weeks in ezines that you have had good results from. This is important and something that many people do not understand.

 

Make sure you keep a special budget for your advertising, never let your business run out of money.

A note on free advertising. This form of advertising is most effective for free programs and free newsletters or even a free give away (viral marketing) However always bear in mind that free ads are rarely effective for paid programs. Even if you get people to join through these ads they are not usually very active strong members. It is worth while to spend a little money on placing some punchy little classifieds, for these programs.

With these points you will be able to build an effective advertising campaign. After 3 months add another program and duplicate these steps, then continue to add and build your business. These steps will work for advertising services and Network Marketing programs.
